There are three categories of personal information collected by our system when you access the Jubiter platform.

This information is required in order to open an account as well as for account verification and fraud prevention. Users who sign up for the Jubiter exchange in addition to using the wallet may be required to enter more information for account verification purposes. This may include a copy of a Government-issued ID. In such cases we may also seek out information from third parties such as credit bureaus or banks.
Some users may choose to provide us with personal information such as social media accounts like Facebook or Twitter in order to link accounts or verify personal information. Sharing such information constitutes consent to allow Jubiter to store this information in your account. It does not give us the ability or right to share that information with any third party or to post on or use your social media account in any way.
All of your account activity is logged in the system. This includes your pending and past transactions, currency balances, and more. This is to protect your account as well as other Jubiter account holders from fraud as well as malicious software and security breaches such as by spyware or other malware that may cause harm to you or other Jubiter users.
To this end, we store all customer information in secure environments. Blockchain information is stored in cold storage, offline. We comply with all regional and international laws in terms of the safeguarding of all our customers’ privacy and information. We restrict access to all of our infrastructure, both physical and online. We authorize access to customer information only to staff who require access to fulfil their job responsibilities. All staff with access to sensitive information are monitored and properly trained to ensure compliance with regulations.
We securely store all customer information throughout the duration of their use of Jubiter as well as for up to five years following termination thereof in order to comply with all laws and resolve any disputes regarding transaction history.
The information we collect is primarily intended to facilitate account access and provide smooth functionality of the site and its features. The ways in which we make use of the information may include:
Jubiter will not make use of your personal information in any way other than the above listed purposes except with your explicit permission. We may request such permission in rare instances where, for instance, sharing your information may improve our services or facilitate joint services. You will always be given the chance to accept or decline the sharing of your information in this way.
In the transfer of your funds from and to your bank account or credit card as well as the transfer of digital currencies to and from third party wallets, account information is shared both by Jubiter and by the third party which may identify you to either party. This includes account and financial information as well as your contact information for identity verification and fraud prevention. We may use this information in order to confirm your identity in connection with the transfers in and out of your account. We share the information pertinent to the transfer with third parties at the other end of the transaction. For instance, we use the various service providers to process credit card to Bitcoin transfers and we allow transfers to and from our digital currency wallet to numerous other wallets.
In addition, your personal information may be disclosed to other trusted third party service providers or partners for the purpose of storing or processing personal information on our behalf (e.g. cloud computing storage); assisting us with our business operations (e.g. network infrastructure, transaction monitoring, security, etc.); performing research, technical diagnostics and analytics with regard to the services we offer; and communicating promotional and informational materials in accordance with our marketing policy.
We may disclose personal information, or any information you submitted to us, if we have a reason to believe in good faith that disclosure of such information is helpful or reasonably necessary to comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request; enforce our policies (including our terms & conditions), including investigations of potential violations thereof; investigate, detect, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities or other wrongdoing, suspected fraud or security issues; establish or exercise our rights to defend against legal claims; prevent harm to our rights, property or safety and those of our users, yourself or any third party; or for the purpose of collaborating with law enforcement agencies and/or in case we find it necessary in order to enforce intellectual property or other legal rights.
Jubiter does not for any reason share or sell our customers’ personal information to any third party for the purpose of marketing. All contact that we make with our customers is related to their respective accounts and notifications relating to transactions or other changes. Any communication that we make that is for marketing or not related specifically to your account will come with an unsubscribe option included. You will always be able to opt out of any type of communication from us, except for specific account notifications.
We use “session”, “persistent” and “third party” cookies in order to effectively achieve the above results. “Session” cookies are stored only temporarily, used to improve the website function within a single session and are deleted from your device when the browser is closed. “Persistent” cookies are saved on your computer for a fixed period after you log out in order to remember your preferences next time you visit and are not deleted when the browser is closed. Such cookies are used where we need to know who you are for repeat visits, for example to allow us to store your preferences for the next sign-in. “Third party” cookies are set by other online services running content on the page you are viewing, for example by third party analytics companies which monitor and analyse our web access.

The right to access - you have the right to request Jubiter for copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.
The right to rectification - you have the right to request that Jubiter correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request Jubiter to complete information you believe is incomplete.
The right to erasure - you have the right to request that Jubiter erases your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to restrict processing - you have the right to request that Jubiter restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to object to processing - you have the right to object to Jubiter's processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to data portability - you have the right to request that Jubiter's transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.

You can update or remove any of the information stored in our system by contacting us at [email protected]. If you decide to close your Jubiter account, the information contained in it will be automatically moved to a separate database and marked as closed. As detailed above, we will keep your information in our database for a period of time as required by law for fraud protection. This measure allows us to ensure that a user suspected of fraud cannot simply close their account and open another one to avoid detection. Upon closure of your account, the use of your information and access thereto is limited to fraud protection. Jubiter will not share it with any third parties with the exception of law enforcement if required for investigations of fraud or financial crimes.
